Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi fisherman from the Teesta River in Dimla upazila of the district on Monday evening.

The victim was identified as Mosharraf Hossain, 35, son of late Abdus Samad of Charkhibari village under Tepakhribari union of the upazila.

UP Chairman Rabiul Islam Shahin said BSF members picked up Mosharraf from the river while he was fishing in the river in Charkhibari area.

Contacted, Charkhibari Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) camp commander Nayek Subedar Mohsin Ali Chowdhury said they had sent a letter to BSF, demanding return of Mosharraf.
