A different Eid entertainmen in remote Kushtia village
A Kabadi match held between two teams, comprising five male players each, has made a day blissful for the people of Mirpur upazila as those having one wife were in a team and those having two wives in another team.
The charity match was held at Amla Sugarcane field in the upazila on Friday.
This interesting match that first came to the minds of Lutfar Rahman and Hasmat Ali of the area on the Eid day. Of them, Lutfar has two wives and Hasmat one wife.
For the first time, the duo organised the match which was witnessed by around 500 spectators. Of the two teams, one was led by Lutfar while another by Hasmat.
Lutfar’s team won the match.
Lutfar fell in trouble over arranging players, but finally he got six people who showed their interest in participating in the game, said Hasmat.
People, who especially have two wives, did not agree to take part in the match first, said Lutfar.
On the other hand, Hasmat could easily arrange 10 players for the match, he said.
They mainly organised such match to entertain people, said Hasmat.
Mahbub Ali Khan, a shopkeeper of Amla bazar, said it was a very interesting match.
The two organisers expressed their desire to arrange such a match on a larger scale next time.
