Law enforcers arrested at least 25 people, including five activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, from different parts of the district in the last two day.

Enamul Haq, sub-inspector of Satkhira special branch of police, said police conducted separate drives in the district and arrested 10 people from Sadar upazila, four from Kalaroa, three from Debhata, two each from Ashashuni and Patkelghata upazila and one each from Kaliganj and Shyamnagar upazila.

Of them, five Jamaat activists were arrested on charge of carrying out subversive activities, said the SI.
