Four held for deceiving SSC examinees
Four members of different groups, that took money from SSC examinees with promises of providing them questions of the board exam, were arrested last night, Rapid Action Battalion has said.
Acting on a tip-off, the elite force members picked up the four youths from Dhaka, Gazipur and Khulna, Md Kamruzzaman, assistant director of Rab-1, told The Daily Star today.
Abu Baker Siddique (26) was nabbed from Gazipur, Shakil Mahmud (20) and Saimun Islam (20) from Khulna, and Al Mahmud (18) was caught in Dhaka’s Rampura.
They tried to create panic among the examinees by spreading rumours that they had questions of the Secondary School Certificate examinations that began today, the Rab official said.
