HSC exams for 13 subjects rescheduled
The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations for 13 subjects under the eight general education boards have been rescheduled due to observance of holy Shab-e-Barat and other issues.
As per the revised routine, the examinations scheduled for April 17, 18, 22 will be held on May 9, 11 and 12 while the exams for May 4 and 6 will begin at 2:00pm instead of 10:00am.
The government has brought the changes in the exam schedule ahead of the holy Shab-e-Barat to be observed across the country on April 21, Tapan Kumar Sarker, secretary of the Dhaka Education Board told The Daily Star this afternoon.
As per the revised schedule, the second paper examinations of Physics (theoretical), Accounting, Logic, and Business Organisation and Management will be held on May 12 from 10:00am to 1:00pm instead of April 12, he said.
The first paper examinations of Arabic, Sanskrit and Pali will be held on May 9 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm instead of April 17 while the second paper examinations of Arabic, Sanskrit and Pali will be held on May 11 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm instead of April 18.
The first paper examinations of Home Economics will be held on May 4 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm while the second papers will be held on May 6 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, according to the new schedule.
The revised routine will be applicable to all the eight Education Boards, Tapan Kumar added.
