Malaysia working for Bangladeshi expatriates’ well-being: Anwar Ibrahim
Malaysia's ruling coalition Pakatan Harapan President, Anwar Ibrahim said the present government of Malaysia is working to ensure the welfare and rights of the Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia.
Stating that Bangladeshis are hard-working people, he also said that the Malaysian government has taken up a new policy on foreign workers-management for the wellbeing of Bangladeshi workers.
He made these remarks when Bangladesh's Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment State Minister Imran Ahmad held a courtesy meeting at Ibrahim's office in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Imran Ahmed went to Malaysia on May 12 for a week-long visit. Earlier, he held meeting with Malaysian Human Resources Minister M Kulasegaran and Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Welfare and Overseas Employment State Minister also sought more Malaysian investments in Bangladesh.
