Moudud taken to Singapore for better treatment
Ailing BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed was taken to Singapore this morning for better treatment.
Moudud's wife Hasna Moudud and some BNP leaders took him to Singapore in a flight of Bangladesh Biman Airlines around 8:25am, his personal secretary Mominur Rahman Sujan told UNB.
He said the BNP senior leader, now 78, will receive treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital for various ailments, including cardiac problem.
On May 5, Moudud Ahmed was admitted to Apollo Hospitals here after he complained of chest pain at the High Court.
Sujon said Moudud decided to went to Singapore in consultation with cardiologist Dr Shahabuddin Talukder as blocks are found in his heart.
He said Moudud urged all to pray for his early recovery.
