‘No seat expansion for private medical college hospitals’

Health and Family Welfare Ministry today decided not to increase the seats for the private medical college hospitals.

The ministry also decided to cancel registration of the additional students of the private medical college hospitals in the academic sessions 2015-16, said a press release issued by the health ministry.

The decision was taken at a meeting on the policy of private medical college hospitals at the health ministry with its minister Mohammad Nasim in the chair, the press release said.

Alongside, the health minister also asked all concerned authorities of the private medical colleges to convey the proper statistic about seats to the admission seekers and their guardians.

State Minister for Health Zahid Malik, Health Secretary Syed Manjurul Islam and Director General of Directorate of Health, Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad, BMA secretary General Dr Iqbal Arsenal, among other, were present at the meeting.
