HC order on removing electricity poles from roads today
The High Court yesterday fixed today for passing an order on a writ petition that sought its directive on the government to remove electricity poles from the roads and highways, which obstruct people's movement across the country.
The bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil will pass the order after concluding hearing on the petition today, as it started the hearing yesterday, Deputy Attorney General Mokhlesur Rahman and writ petitioner Barrister Sayedul Haque Suman told The Daily Star.
Barrister Suman, a Supreme Court lawyer, yesterday filed the writ petition with the HC seeking its directive on the government to remove the poles.
