Teen held for 'raping' minor girl in Bagerhat

A three-year-old girl was raped by a 16-year-old neighbour in Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat on Thursday.

The boy was arrested from Bahirdia village last night hours after the victim’s mother filed a case against him with Fakirhat Police Station, said Abu Jahid, officer-in-charge of the local police station.

The victim’s father told our Bagerhat correspondent that the boy took her daughter to his room alluring her to give chocolate and raped her.

As the girl fell sick, her parents took her to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex from where she was referred to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), he said.

KMCH will conduct a medical test on the victim today, the correspondent reports quoting the OC this afternoon.
