Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three drug peddlers and seized 1,700 bottles of phensidyl, Tk 4.16 lakh and six cellphones from their possession in Chaksutrapur area of the district town early yesterday. The arrestees are Tufan Sarkar, 25, son of Mojibur Rahman of the area, Jahangir Alam, 20, son of Ochim Uddin of Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha, and Aminul Islam, 40, son of late Amsher Ali Akanda of Kalai upazila  in Joypurhat district. On secret information, the elite force raided the area and arrested the three along with the phensidyl and cellphones, said an official of Rab-12.
