An under-trial prisoner of the district jail died at Sherpur Sadar Hospital on Saturday. The deceased, Jewel Mia, 30, son of Nurul Islam of Nabinagar area of the town, was an accused in a drug peddling case. He had been suffering from urine infection and was admitted to the hospital around 8:30pm on Saturday night. He died at the hospital after an hour of his admission.
