No IS in Bangladesh: Home minister
There is no existence of Islamic State in Bangladesh, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan reaffirmed today.
"I want to clearly say that there is no base, organisational existence of IS in Bangladesh. Some individuals may have faith on them," the minister told journalists at his residence in the capital.
His remarks came after the journalists asked him about Dabiq magazine published interview of the alleged Bangladesh chief of IS, Shaykh Abu Ibrahim al-Hanif.
The minister vowed that the government will not allow any external forces or militant outfits to carry out attack on neighbouring countries establishing their stronghold in the country and using any local militant organisation.
"Islam does not support attacks on minorities. So, those who talk this way are enemy of Islam and humanity," he added.
"It is a part of national and international conspiracy," the minister added.
