‘No plan to increase recruitment age limit for govt jobs’

The government has no plan to increase age limit for recruitment in public service, said State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique.

She told this to the parliament replying to lawmakers’ queries.

She also told that over 3.59 lakh posts in government services have been lying vacant with different ministries.

While responding to a starred question from treasury bench member Morshed Alam (Noakhali-2), the state minister said necessary steps have been taken to fill up the vacant posts.

Responding to another question, Ismat Ara said 48,246 posts of class one (grade 1-9) are lying vacant while 54294 posts of class two (grade 10-12), 182737 posts of class three (grade13-17) and 73984 posts of class four (grade 18-20).
