Patuakhali quack lands in jail after surrender

The High Court today handed over Rajon Das, an alleged quack of Patuakhali who administered a surgery and left cotton inside the belly of a patient, to police after he surrendered.

Rajon, the alleged fake doctor, surrendered in line with a High Court arrest warrant against him, issued on November 6 and 16.

The court also directed the police to show him arrested in a case filed by the law enforcers earlier over the incident.

Rajon, whose original name is Arjun Chakraborty, surrendered before the HC bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Hoque.

The police recently told the High Court that they tried to arrest him but failed to trace him.
