Primary, Ebtedayee exams begin

PSC Examination 2019 starts

Primary Education Completion Examinations (PECE) and its equivalent Ebtedayee Education Completion Examination began across the country today with 29,03,638 students appearing.

A total of 25,53,267 general stream examinees will sit for PECE with 3,50,371 students sitting for Ebtedayee examinations this year.

The examinations will be held at 7,458 centres across the country and twelve centres abroad. PECE exams will end on November 24.

On the first day, both general and madrasa students will take English examination, they will appear for Bangla on November 18, Bangladesh and Global Studies on November 19, and Mathematics on November 24.

PECE examinees will take Science on November 20 and Religion the next day; while madrasa students will take Arabic on November 20 and Quran Majid and Tajweed on November 21.

Exams will start at 10:30am and end at 1pm every day. Children with special needs will be given extra 30 minutes.

PECE was introduced in 2009 and its madrasa equivalent Ebtedayee was introduced in 2010.
