Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) claimed to have busted a “weapon factory” in Moheshkhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar early today and detained two people along with firearms and firearms-making equipment.

Tipped off, a team of Rab-7 launched the drive at the factory in a remote hilly area in Kalarmarchhara during the wee hours, according to an SMS sent by the Rab headquarters.

The law enforcers recovered 20 firearms, huge number of bullets and firearms-making equipment during the drive which was going on till 10:30am when the report was filed.
