Tangail tailor killing: 3 placed on 6-day remand
A Tangail Court today granted six-day remand for each of the three detainees including a local Jamaat-e-Islami leader in two cases filed in connection with killing of a Hindu tailor.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Anjan Kanti Das passed the order after police produced them before his court seeking seven-day remand for each of them, reports our Tangail correspondent.
The three detainees are Badsha Miah, Jamaat secretary of Gopalpur municipal unit, Aminul Islam, principal of Alamnagar Madrasa, and local BNP activist Jhantu.
They were placed on three-day remand separately in the two cases, said Mahfijur Rehman Ghulam, officer in-charge of Tangail Detective Branch of police.
The three, who were detained yesterday, were shown arrested in the cases this morning.
