3 ABT men held in N’ganj

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members claimed to have arrested three alleged members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) in Rupganj of Narayanganj.

The elite force members identified the arrestees as Rezaur Rahman, 27, Abu Raihan, 28 and Mobarak Hossain, 33, Rab-11 Commanding Officer Lt Col Qamrul Hasan told The Daily Star today.

Tipped off, a team of Rab-11 launched a drive in the area last night and arrested the trio, he said.

The elite force members also recovered firearms, bullets, books on jihad and leaflets from their possession, the Rab official added.
