Bodies of 17 Bangladeshis to arrive tomorrow
Bodies of 17 Bangladeshi crash victims who were killed in the US-Bangla Airlines plane crash last Monday will be brought back home tomorrow.
Mohammad Al Alamul Emam, first secretary and head of chancery embassy of Bangladesh Nepal told The Daily Star today that the bodies will be brought back by a special flight of Bangladesh Air Force.
The bodies will be first taken to Bangladesh mission in Kathmundu, Nepal, where their first namaj-e-janaza will be held. Later, they will be flown back home around 4:00pm.
On March 12, at least 51 people were killed as the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed and burst into flames while landing at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal.
Meanwhile, relatives of the 17 deceased will also arrive by chartered plane of US-Bangla airlines, he said.
A total of 28 Bangladeshis, 22 Nepalese, and one Chinese citizen were killed in the deadly crash.
