US deputy asst secy Todd to visit Dhaka this week
The US Department of State's Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs William E Todd will lead an interagency delegation on a visit to Bangladesh this week.
While in Dhaka, Todd will meet with officials from the Government of Bangladesh to discuss bilateral issues, the current security situation and regional integration, according to an American Center press release issued today.
He is to follow up on the visit of US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswal last week, the press release read.
Todd will also meet representatives from the civil society during his visit.
Prior to this assignment, Todd served as the US Ambassador to Cambodia, where he focused on the advancement of democracy, human rights, regional stability, counterterrorism, trade and investment.
