WB to help Bangladesh accelerate double-digit growth

World Bank (WB) is ready to help Bangladesh increase growth to double digit and it would provide all kinds of support for this, newly-appointed World Bank country director for Bangladesh and Bhutan said today.
“There is so many potential areas where we can improve and accelerate growth to double digit and the bank is here to support this,” said Mercy Miyang Tembon, newly-appointed World Bank Country Director for Bangladesh and Bhutan.
He said this while meeting with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal at his Economic Relations Division office today.
“We talked about faster growth of the economy of the programme to continue doing more to accelerate implementation of the projects and need quick forward,” she said.
Finance Minister Mustafa Kamal said the WB country director emphasised on implementation of the project on time, and fund is not a problem.
