Covid-19 shutdown: IPDC Finance organises Eid programme to be streamed live
With the coronavirus outbreak, people are now having to live and survive in this new normal. And with the economic fallout of the pandemic, different sectors are trying their best by introducing alternate strategies.
Food, clothing, and shelter business will eventually get back on its feet in the coming days and people are likely to be seen visiting malls once again. But the same might not happen to movie theatres or a Thursday night concert. The entertainment industry is facing the darkest of hours, with the crisis affecting not only the front-line talent pool, but also the crew members, vendors, studio spot boys and others.
This year, Eid entertainment has also been deeply affected by the shutdown. With not many programmes scheduled for the TV screens this year, IPDC Finance Limited, the first private sector financial institution of the country has brought "Jaago Ucchashe Eid Anonde", an exclusive Eid program being broadcast live from its official page starting from May 26 to 28 at 10:00pm every day.
Momimul Islam, CEO of IPDC Finance Limited along with singer Partha Barua and Rashid Khan, CEO of Creato initiated the three-day Eid programme with some of country's most sought after artistes. Bappa Mazumder, Partha Barua, Samina Chowdhury, Afsana Mimi, Rumana Rashid Ishita, Shafin Ahmed and others will be making appearances during the programme.
Partha Barua, famous Bangladeshi musician said, "Challenges that the industry is facing should not be underestimated. Such arrangement will help the industry survive amid the crisis and encourage healthy competition of art. We are pleased to find IPDC by our side; an organisation both enthusiastic and empathetic at the same time."
Despite being a financial institution, known to be in the numbers business, IPDC intends to send a message to people that disregarding all situations, the beauty of life should always be professed-- the show must go on.
