BTS' Jin may have left a legion of devastated fans behind when he left for military service last year, but his occasional Instagram returns and news about him at the training camp bring great joy to the BTS ARMY.

During a recent Weverse banter, the singer hinted to J-Hope that he is now a 'Private,' implying he has been promoted. As word of Jin's promotion spread, the hashtag 'Private First Class Jin' began trending on Twitter. According to reports, the singer is a 'Private first class,' a military rank held by enlisted personnel.

"Congratulations, Private First Class Seokjin, I am extremely proud of you. You inspire us with your resilience and strength," wrote one of the fans.

BTS's members are RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook. Jin was the first member of the K-pop group to join the military in December 2022. The popular band will all finish their national service in 2025, but in the meantime, they will pursue solo careers.
