10-day long cultural festival underway at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy
With the aim to display our rich Bangladeshi heritage, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has organised a 10-day long cultural festival at the National Theatre Hall in Dhaka. The festival was inaugurated on Wednesday.
Director General of the BSA, Liaquat Ali Lucky presided over the inauguration programme and Sohaila Afsana Ico, Director of the Production Department of the BSA delivered the welcome address.
On the first day of the event, Anannya Progga performed a patriotic song, "Sundor Suborno". After this, Annesha Rawshon performed a folk dance called "Kanduri", followed by a performance called "Gokul" from Apurba Islam.
Noted-dancer, Warda Rihab also performed her solo dance titled "Shibstuti".
Aside from these performances, Moushumi Rani Barman, Hena Hossain, Anindita Khan, Sohel Bhuiyan and Disha Moni Pal also performed at the event.
The festival was broadcast live on the BSA's Facebook page and YouTube channel. The programme was hosted by Dilruba Sathi.
