Artworks and ancient relics showcased at Ctg cultural festival
Hatkhola Foundation organised a three-day long festival, titled "Chattogram Cultural Festival and Book Fair", showcasing artworks and ancient relics.
The event, which took place from September 1 to 3, was inaugurated by Dainik Azadi Editor MA Malek and sculptor Alok Roy on Friday.
The art exhibitions flaunt the artworks of artists, including Devdas Chakraborty, Murtaja Baseer, Rashid Choudhury, Syed Abdullah Khalid, Hashi Chakraborty, Monsur Ul Karim and Novera Ahmed. Ancient coins of Chattogram and various other countries were displayed at the festival.
Chattogram Hatkhola Foundation President Kazi Runu Bilaks presided over the inaugural ceremony, while voice artiste Ayesha Haque Shimu moderated the event.
Simeen Hussain Rimi, president of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Culture, attended the event as the chief guest. Khalil Ahmed, secretary of the Ministry of Culture; Dr Rajeev Ranjan, assistant high commissioner of India in Chattogram; and Jashim Uddin, publisher, Kathaprokash, were also present as special guests of the event.
Poet Yusuf Mohammad, member secretary of the Chattogram Cultural Festival and Book Fair Board and editor of Hatkhola Foundation, was also present on the occasion.
