BSA arranges 12-day puppet show in 120 locations
Puppetry is considered as one of the most unique forms of narrative theater. It is one of the crucial sectors of folk culture that plays a pivotal role in mass awareness.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has organised a twelve day long puppetry festival titled "Gonojagoron er Putul Natya Utshob", which kicked off today.
According to BSA, puppetry is one of the most effective means of folk education. Through its presentation and stylistic approach over the ages, puppetry has played a significant role in the moral development of individuals and in bringing about social and national change by explaining content, time and context.
Thus, to engage and inspire people from all walks of lives in Bangladesh, BSA took this initiative in 120 locations across the country through the presentations of 30 puppetry troupes nationwide. The festival will run until October 10.
