Popular actress and model, Tanvin Sweety has been an active member of the celebrated theatre group, Naami Mancha since 1995. The actress regularly performs in the troupe's production "Mukti". She was last seen performing the play during its 100th production last year.

After 13 years of working in the line of theatre, Sweety is finally set to appear for the first time in "Pohela Shorbori". The production is directed by legendary thespian Ramendu Majumdar and his daughter Tropa Majumdar.

Sweety will be taking on the role of Shilboti in "Pohela Shorbori". "I have always loved theatre and I have high expectations from this play," shared the actress, adding "We rehearsed for this production during the pandemic. My passion towards theatre empowered my drive to keep working even when the whole world was falling apart. Now it's up to the audience, and I am eagerly looking forward to their feedback."

The actress was also very excited to have worked with Ramendu Majumdar. "A theatrical production relies heavily on its director, and there is no limit to Ramendu Majumdar's creative talents when it comes to putting forward a live performance on the stage. Both Ramendu Majumdar and Tropa have invested a lot of effort on this drama and it's a blessing for me to be a part of their creation," added Sweety.

Alongside theatre, Sweety has also been roped up in various TV projects and films. Alongside drama serials, Sweety is also shooting for her upcoming film "Mike". The film is set in the year 1975 and follows the political history of the post liberation period.

"For now, my only focus is 'Pohela Shorbori'. The play will be staged on July 1 and I welcome everyone to come and watch it," concluded Sweety.
