“Peace Film Festival 2023” to begin on October 28

"Peace Film Festival 2023" has been organised to encourage an integrated and peaceful Bangladesh with the participation of creative young filmmakers. This two-day-long festival will be held on October 28 and 29 at the Bangladesh Film Archive in the Agargaon area.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen will inaugurate the festival as the chief guest on Saturday (October 28) at 3 pm. 

The two-day film festival will feature screenings of 66 short films by young filmmakers, as well as several workshops and seminars on the role of art, media, and film in building peace. 

Awards will be presented in seven categories on the second day of this festival to reward young filmmakers. Open to all, this event will run from 10 am to 8 pm.

The event has been jointly organised by Films 4 Peace Foundation, Bangladesh Film Archive, Department of Information and Communication Technology, Diversity for Peace and UNDP Bangladesh in collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka.

Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka Silje Fines Wannebo and Director General Jaseem Uddin of Bangladesh Film Archive, eminent filmmaker and activist Manzare Hassin Murad, actress and director Rokeya Prachy and President Sheepa Hafiza of Films 4 Peace Foundation will be present as special guests.
