Earlier on, Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas made headlines after raising various allegations against her ex-husband, Shakib Khan.

Several times, the actress has slammed Shakib for hiding their marriage and children from the media. She has also voiced a series of complaints against her in-laws.

In an interview with Kolkata's Anandabazar online, the "Laal Sari" actress admitted that she feels guilty for some of her actions. Apu feels that she should not have dragged Shakib's name on social media. At the same time, she also apologised to her former in-laws for complaining about them.

Regarding her in-laws, she said, "Sometimes I say something which I can't even correct later on. Actually, when I said what I had said, I was angry with them. I was going through a bit of depression. So, I want to apologise to them. My former in-laws are good people. I am lucky to have them. They are like my own parents at times," added the actress.

In the interview, the actress frankly admitted that Shakib Khan played a major role in helping her become the Apu Biswas that she is today.

"If Shakib was not by my side today, I would not be where I am. He helped me to grasp the skill of acting, by being a wonderful co-artiste. 80 percent of my success as an artiste is due to Shakib, while the remaining is my own. So, I will have that respect for him for the rest of my life," shared Apu.

Her ex-husband, Shakib, has often been rumoured to be linked with many actresses. When asked how she feels about this, the actress replied, "Shakib Khan is a superstar. It's only natural that people will spread rumours about his personal life, as he has been reigning over Dhallywood for ages. It's his achievement that people are talking about him and not about others. I think rumours like these only help to boost their on-screen chemistry."

While the former couple are no longer together, they do share a healthy relationship for the sake of their son, Joy.

"Whenever he gets time away from shooting, he always tries to spend some time with Joy. They hang around and tease each other. They are the best of friends," she added.

When asked about the current status of their relationship, the actress wittily avoided the question.

"Right now, I can't say anything about my relationship with Shakib Khan. When the right time comes, I will talk about it in front of the media. However, I can happily say that I no longer hold any grudges," concluded Apu.
