Renowned star Aamir Khan is ready to end his nearly a year-long break after facing underwhelming reactions from "Laal Singh Chaddha". The actor recently took his fans by surprise and announced the title of his upcoming project, "Sitaare Zameen Par".

After Aamir vaguely disclosed his desire to retire from the film industry due to "Laal Singh Chaddha", the audience had almost lost hope of seeing the "Lagaan" star on the silver screen.

However, Aamir Khan confirmed his grand return with "Sitaare Zameen Par" in a new interview. The actor also dropped a hint and attested that it has a connection with his famous movie "Taare Zameen Par", from 2007.

Aamir said, "I have not spoken about it publicly and I won't be able to say much now also. But I can tell the title, which is 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. It must remind you of my film 'Taare Zameen Par' since it is named 'Sitare Zameen Par' but we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. 'Taare Zameen Par' was an emotional film, this film will make you laugh. That film made you cry but this one will entertain you."

He further clarified, "Since the two films are of a similar theme, we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws and weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme but this time in  'Sitaare Zameen Par' nine boys with their respective issues will end up helping my character as opposed to 'Taare Zameen Par', where my character helped Ishaan."

Though Aamir Khan could not reveal anything more about "Sitaare Zameen Par", fans can surely expect another heartwarming story like "Taare Zameen Par". However, this time, it promises to have comedy blended in as per the star's words.

Moreover, as a producer, Aamir Khan already has two films in the pipeline —"Laapata Ladies" directed by Kiran Rao and "Lahore 1947" directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi.
