While shooting for Raihan Rafi's "Shurongo" in Chittagong, Afran Nisho took some time off yesterday to serve iftar for almost 1200 homeless and underprivileged individuals.

The event was jointly organised by non-profit foundation Bidyanondo and a multinational company. Its main goal was to serve the deprived and destitute people residing in Chittagong.

A live broadcast was aired from Bidyanondo's page where they appreciated the star for his hard work and dedication at the event.

During the live programme, Nisho said "I have never considered myself as an extraordinary person. However, coming here made me feel alive again."

The "Punorjonmo" actor abhors the idea of classism and appreciates the works that Bidyanondo has done to help the people.

"This is such a wonderful platform where you really don't have to officiate any notice to participate. Normal citizen's money is being used to serve the common people. At the end of the day coming here really made me feel good. I felt ordinary here and that made my whole experience really joyful and worthwhile," concluded the actor.
