Afsana Mimi to play Sheikh Fazilatunnesa in children’s film

Prominent actress Afsana Mimi and five-times National Film Award winning actor Ferdous will be sharing the screen for the first time. They have collaborated for the children's film "Sheikh Russel-er Jonno Opekkha", to be directed by Noor E Alam.

The story of the film is based on the novel of the same name authored by the noted novelist Selina Hossain, where Afsana Mimi will be seen as Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, while Ferdous will play the colonel, who was assigned for the security of Sheikh Russell. The film was scripted by Ahmed Yousuf Saber.

Afsana Mimi and Ferdous will share the screen for the first time.

The film focuses on the life of Sheikh Russell. Shooting for the government granted film has already begun at Bangbandhu's house in Dhanmondi 32, recently.
