‘To All The Boys’ star Lana Condor weds long-time boyfriend
Lana Condor has started a new chapter in her life by marrying Anthony De La Torre. The couple exchanged vows on Thursday (October 31), after a nine-year relationship, celebrating their union in an intimate ceremony in Malibu, California.
Lana Condor shared her heartfelt emotions about missing her mother on her wedding day in an interview with Vogue on November 1. Reflecting on the ceremony, Condor described the powerful experience of standing at the altar. "Standing there in front of our loved ones, making a lifelong commitment, is a memory we'll treasure always," she told the publication. "It was a deeply emotional and joyous occasion."
Given the intimate nature of the ceremony, the guest list only consisted of close friends and family, including "To All the Boys" co-stars Sarayu Blue and Janel Parrish, as well as Madeleine Arthur, who stood by Lana as one of her bridesmaids, according to E! Online.
While the day was filled with joy, it held a bittersweet note for Condor as she deeply felt the absence of her mother, who had passed away earlier this year. The venue, Malibu's Serra Retreat, was particularly meaningful, inspired by a memorable visit Condor had made there with her mother during her high school years.
In a heartfelt statement, Lana shared, "She would have wanted us to celebrate our love wholeheartedly. Choosing the Serra Retreat for our wedding felt right because it holds a special place in my heart—a cherished memory from a visit with my mom. I knew we would feel her presence there on our special day."
Condor was also thankful for the chance to pick out her wedding gown alongside her mother, a memory she holds close. Shortly after her engagement in January 2022, they found her dream dress: a Vera Wang gown.
Reflecting on that moment, the 27-year-old said, "My mom and I instantly fell in love with the dress as soon as I tried it on. It's a memory I treasure deeply, knowing it was the wedding gown she saw me in."
Lana Condor's wedding weekend festivities
The "Moonshot" star's wedding festivities extended into the following day with a farewell lunch hosted by Lana and her new husband at their home in Los Angeles. The celebration didn't end there; the couple later marked the occasion uniquely, getting their first matching tattoos—their wedding date etched on their wrists as a lasting symbol of their commitment.
Lana couldn't contain her joy, saying, "The whole weekend was truly a dream come true. Our hearts are overflowing with love and gratitude, not only for each other but for the amazing friends and family who travelled from near and far to be with us."
The couple's story began back in 2015 at an Emmys party, where Anthony approached Lana and introduced himself.
Reflecting on that moment, she shared, "We both had a feeling that day would be a turning point in our lives. We didn't know exactly how, but looking back now, it's clear it was the beginning of something extraordinary."
