Andy Samberg joins ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’

The sequel of the 2018 animated film has already set off quite a buzz ahead of its release. In a recent development, actor/comedian Andy Samberg has now reportedly joined the cast of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", along with Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld and Oscar Issac.

According to Total Film, Samberg made the announcement on his social media, but his role still remains a mystery. Apparently, Andy Samberg isn't the only The Lonely Island member to do so, as Jorma Taccome had been previously a part of the 2018 project.

Taccome's role is not as secretive, as he is confirmed to be playing a Renaissance-themed version of The Vulture. Taccome and Samberg had previously paired up in the 2016 musical comedy, "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping".
