'Antonagar' depicts a woman's grapple with reality

Goutam Koiri's debut OTT web-film, "Antonagar" is all set to surprise the fans tomorrow at 8 pm on the popular OTT platform, Chorki. The film stars Shamol Mawla, Runa Khan, Shohel Mondol, Prantar Dastider, Sabnam Faria, and Nidra Neha, amongst others.

The movie has been both written and directed by Goutam Koiri. The director has weaved stories that are part of every Dhaka native's life, yet never spoken of aloud.

Sabnam Faria who appears in the film as Moushumi, said, "The story of 'Antonagar' is quite important to us as it depicts the struggle and fight of women. I have a lot of expectations from this project. Chorki always presents us with such unique stories, thus I am very hopeful about the cinema". 

Shamol Mawla who essayed the role of CNG driver in the web-film shared, "Acting in 'Antonagar' was a bit difficult for me as I had to drive a CNG every day, to the point I had gotten blisters on my hands".

"Despite all that, the film's story will be relayed better if it is seen rather than heard, it's wonderful work," concluded the actor.
