Anurag Kashyap to head the jury at the Sydney Film Festival
Director Anurag Kashyap received a resounding response at the Cannes Film Festival with the premiere of his police noir film, "Kennedy". The movie, featuring Rahul Bhat as an insomniac cop and Sunny Leone as the female lead, garnered a lengthy standing ovation, demonstrating its impact on the audience. "Kennedy" made history as the first Indian film to have a midnight premiere at The Grand Lumiere Theatre during the festival.
Building on the success of "Kennedy", Anurag Kashyap has achieved another milestone. He has been appointed as head of the jury for the main competition at the Sydney Film Festival.
Joining him on the esteemed jury panel are actor Mia Wasikowska, film curator and journalist Dorothee Wenne, writer and director Larissa Behrendt, and filmmaker Visakesa Chandrasekaram.
Kashyap's film, "Kennedy" has been produced by Zee Studios, as well as Ranjan Singh and Kabir Ahuja of Good Bad Films. With Anurag Kashyap at the helm and the powerful response it received at Cannes, "Kennedy" has made a significant impact on the international film stage.
