'Blind' marks Sonam Kapoor's comeback after big screen break
After taking a significant hiatus from the film industry to focus on motherhood following the arrival of her baby boy Vayu last year, Sonam Kapoor is all set to make a grand comeback to the silver screen. The talented actor will be seen in the film "Blind", directed by Shome Makhija.
"Blind" is a Bollywood adaptation of the Korean crime thriller of the same name released in 2011, helmed by Ahn Sang-hoon. The film also features actors Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lilette Dubey, and Shubham Saraf in pivotal roles. The makers announced that "Blind" will have a direct release on the OTT platform Jio Cinema.
Scheduled to stream from July 7, just two days before Sonam's birthday, "Blind" promises to take viewers on a gripping journey into the darkness of its protagonist's world. Jio Cinema unveiled the film's poster on Instagram, inviting audiences to join the enigmatic and suspenseful narrative.
In recent weeks, the first look of the film was revealed, showcasing Sonam Kapoor holding a gun during what appears to be a target practice scene. The actor exudes determination and intensity, donning a black outfit and sporting a neat bun.
Sonam Kapoor's previous film was "The Zoya Factor" opposite Dulquer Salmaan, which failed to make a mark at the box office. However, the versatile actor has proven her talent with notable performances in films such as "Raanjhanaa", "Neerja", "Players", "Delhi-6", "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", "Sanju", and "Padman".
Currently, Sonam Kapoor is enjoying quality time with her husband Anand Ahuja and son Vayu in London. The couple tied the knot on May 8, 2018, in a traditional ceremony. In March 2022, they joyfully announced the arrival of their first child.
