In a candid chat with The Daily Star, Mehazabien expressed her thoughts and happiness upon receiving the award.
How does it feel to win the Best Actress award in Blender's Choice—The Daily Star OTT and Digital Content Awards 2022?
I feel really ecstatic—I am truly brimming with joy. When your work gets you such recognition, your happiness will have no bounds. Moreover, this is the first time that I am getting an award from Blenders Choice—The Daily Star OTT and Digital Content Awards, which only takes this higher up my achievement list.
You have dedicated this award to your father.
Yes. Usually, I dedicate my awards to my mother. But this time, I've dedicated it to my father, since he complained that I don't dedicate anything to him! Needless to say, he was elated.
Tell us a bit about your experience with 'Redrum'.
"Redrum" is my debut web-film, masterfully crafted by Vicky Zahed. Its story and narrative were magnificent. Then again, his stories are always trying to portray something new and innovative, namely the "Punorjonmo" series that we worked together on afterwards.
Has this award increased your responsibility as an artiste?
Definitely. I am actress who is in this profession due to my love for the craft. That is why I always try to give my hundred percent in which ever role I take on, since the beginning of my acting career.
Why aren't you doing films?
I never said I won't be getting into the film industry. Nowadays, there are plenty of good story-based films being made. I am also getting good offers and scripts for films. I'll jump on board as soon as I get a script which has a story and character that aligns with me. I'll let everyone know when I get my hands on such a script—I'm quite positive about making my film debut.
