Star Cineplex has released a ranking of the most-viewed films in theatres this week, with "Priyo Maloti" leading the list of local releases.

"Priyo Maloti", featuring Mehazabien Chowdhury, has secured the second spot in this week's list of the top seven films released by the multiplex. Moreover, the actress' performance as the determined Maloti Rani Das has also received widespread acclaim.

Produced by Frame Per Second in partnership with the OTT platform Chorki, this film marks the directorial debut of Shankha Dasgupta as well as the first film for Mehazabien.

Released last December 20, "Priyo Maloti" features an ensemble cast including Nader Chowdhury, Azad Abul Kalam, Momena Chowdhury, Somu Chowdhury, Anisul Haque Borun, Shahjahan Samrat and Rizvi Rizu.

This week "Mufasa: The Lion King" claimed the top position on Star Cineplex's list, with "Moana 2" securing third place. "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" came in fourth, followed by "840" in fifth, "Kraven the Hunter" in sixth, and "Nakshi Kanthar Zamin" in seventh.
