Celebrity Cricket League to return this month
Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) was temporarily halted after a physical altercation took place between Dipankar Dipon's team and Mostafa Kamal Raz's team on September 29. Cases were filed against perpetrators, and the two captains hugged it out at the press conference citing that outsiders came and tried to create issues between the two teams.
However, it seems fans won't have to wait too long as Celebrity Cricket League is all set to return this month.
After discussing with the captains of the eight teams, the organisers have come to a decision that the game of Celebrity Cricket League 2023 will resume between October 15 and 20.
The captains of all the teams and the organising committee have decided that this game will start from exactly where the group stage games left off.
Legal action has already been taken against the miscreants. The organisers are not disclosing which police station and how many people have been registered for investigation.
The star-studded 'Celebrity Cricket League', was aimed at boosting the morale of the Bangladesh cricket team ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
Organised by G Next Generation, the CCL witnessed showbiz stars competing in eight teams, each comprising 10 to 15 players.
Leading these star-studded teams are eight renowned artistes, they are– Gias Uddin Selim, Salahuddin Lavlu, Shihab Shaheen, Chayanika Chowdhury, Dipankar Dipon, Shokal Ahmed, Mostafa Kamal Raz, and Raihan Rafi.
