Critics Choice Awards: 'Anora', 'Emilia Perez' win big

The winners of the Critics Choice Awards have been announced, and in an unexpected turn, "Anora" claimed the top honours of the night. Other major award season favourites, including "Emilia Pérez", "The Substance", and "Wicked", also secured wins in key categories.

Demi Moore, fresh off her Golden Globe victory for her powerful performance in "The Substance", continued her winning streak by taking home the Best Actress award. Meanwhile, Adrien Brody was recognised as Best Actor, solidifying his standing this season.

On the television front, the acclaimed Japanese series "Shogun" triumphed, earning the award for Best Drama Series.

The 30th Critics Choice Awards, with Chelsea Handler as host, brought together several A-listers from the entertainment industry for a night honouring outstanding achievements in film and television.

This year, the political thriller "Conclave" and the musical spectacle "Wicked" emerged as frontrunners, each securing 11 nominations, including a coveted spot in the Best Picture category.
