National Film Award-winning actress Tama Mirza began the shooting for the new film, "Daagi", directed by Shihab Shaheen. Most of the scenes for the film have already been shot, with locations including Syedpur, Rajshahi, and other parts of the country.

This project marks the second collaboration between Tama and Afran Nisho. The pair was last seen in the hit film "Surongo", marking Nisho's debut on the silver screen. In this film, Shahiduzzaman Selim will notably be seen as an antagonist.

Sharing her experience about the shoot, the actress said, "Whatever we've filmed so far has turned out amazing. It's been a great experience, and I'm very happy. There's just a little more shoot left which we'll finish soon."

"Since 'Daagi' is slated to release this Eid-ul-Fitr, we are also aiming to complete the shooting as soon as possible," she further added.

On working with Afran Nisho for the second time, the "Friday" actress shared, "Nisho bhai is an exceptional actor. Everyone knows about his acting prowess. As a person, he's equally wonderful. We received a very positive response for 'Surongo', and I'm hopeful about 'Daagi' as well."

Tama then expressed her confidence, saying, "I believe 'Daagi' will be one of the best films in Afran Nisho Bhai's career."

"I share a great understanding with Nisho bhai. Before shooting, he methodically reads the script, rehearses, and focuses wholeheartedly on perfecting each scene. He discusses everything in detail, which ensures the scenes turn out beautifully," she affirmed.

Tama mentioned that "Daagi" is a film for all types of audiences. "It has a compelling family-oriented storyline, on top of which viewers will get to witness an extraordinary narrative," she said.

In her longstanding career so far, this project is Tama's first collaboration with the renowned director Shihab Shaheen. Regarding the filmmaker, she remarked, "He's an outstanding director, and everyone knows of his calibre. Audiences will however see a new side of his skill in this project, which is also set to be his silver screen debut."
