Actors Equity Bangladesh is a major organisation for television artistes. The upcoming election for this organisation is scheduled to take place on April 19.

Senior actor Khairul Alam Sabuj will serve as the Chief Election Commissioner this term, while Naresh Bhuiyan and Faruque Ahmed will act as election commissioners.

Additionally, the appeals board comprises three veteran artistes– Mamunur Rashid, Abul Hayat, and Dilara Zaman.

Ilias Javed hospitalised in Dhaka

In this year's election, actor Azad Abul Kalam and Abdullah Rana are contesting for the position of president.

For the post of general secretary, actor Shahed Sharif Khan and actor Rashed Mamun Apu are in the running. Several other actors are also contesting for various posts.

It is worth noting that in the current committee of the Actors Equity, Ahsan Habib Nasim is serving as president and Rawnak Hasan as general secretary. They are not participating in this election.
