Gigi Hadid had been actively vocal about her support for Palestine amidst the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

The half-Palestinian model and her family have received death threats for proudly supporting Palestine on social media.

According to TMZ, due to threats, Gigi and her family, which includes supermodel sister Bella, 27, brother Anwar, 24, and parents Yolanda and Mohamed, have all had to alter their phone numbers. According to the publication, the family received threats via email, social media, and phone calls after their phone numbers were allegedly released online.

In light of these threats, Mohamed Hadid is reportedly considering contacting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to track down the perpetrators.

Gigi, whose father is Palestinian, has expressed support for the Palestinian cause while emphasizing that she does not intend to harm any group, especially Jews. She went on to say: "While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person."

"Terrorising innocent people... does not help the 'Free Palestine' movement.' The notion that it does has fueled a painful, decades-long cycle of back and forth retaliation... and contributes to the mistaken notion that being pro-Palestine = antisemitic," read her post.

'There is nothing Jewish about the Israeli government's treatment of Palestinians,' she added.

"Condemning Israel's leadership is not antisemitic, and supporting Palestinians is not the same as supporting Hamas," concluded the model.

The Israeli government reacted quickly to her post saying, "There is nothing brave about Hamas' killing of Israelis. Condemning Hamas for what it is (ISIS) is not anti-Palestine, and it is the moral thing to do to help Israelis in their struggle against brutal terrorists."

The State of Israel's account then addressed comments especially at Gigi, tagging her account and asked, 'Have you been sleeping the past week?'

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza, which erupted on October 7 with a surprise attack by Hamas on the Gaza-Israel border, has resulted in sad losses on both sides. The dead toll has unfortunately risen to 4,000, emphasizing the critical need for a global appeal for an immediate ceasefire in the region.
