The highly anticipated "Gladiator II" is ready to hit screens, after a winding 24-year wait. Originally released in 2000, "Gladiator" became a defining film in Hollywood, drawing in crowds worldwide and cementing its place as a cinematic classic.

The sequel is set to premiere in the United States on November 22. However, Bangladeshi audiences are enjoying a unique treat—they'll be able to catch it on screens ahead of its US debut.

The movie is scheduled to premiere today at Star Cineplex branches all over Bangladesh, as confirmed by the multiplex to The Daily Star.

The trailer for "Gladiator II" debuted last July, surprising audiences with its gripping three-minute preview. The most talked-about scene showcases an intense battle with a rhino.

The sequel continues the storyline from "Gladiator", following an adult Lucius as events unfold several years after the original film. Pedro Pascal stars as General Acasius, while Denzel Washington takes on the role of Macrinus.

In this sequel, Paul Mescal takes on the lead role of Lucius, with Ridley Scott returning as director. While Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix won't reprise their roles, the cast features Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington.

The production was completed with an estimated budget of around $310 million.

The 2000 blockbuster "Gladiator" earned over $465 million globally at the box office. The film garnered 12 Oscar nominations and took home five awards, including Best Picture.
