Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali appears to have struck gold this year with his debut series, "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar." It has been recognized as the most popular Indian series of 2024, according to IMDb.

It surpassed popular series like "Panchayat", "Mirzapur" and "Citadel: Honey Bunny" to claim this position.

Set against the backdrop of India's 1940s independence movement, the period drama explores the lives of the country's elite courtesans and secured the top spot among shows. 

The highly anticipated third season of "Mirzapur" premiered in July, earning the second spot on the list.

"Panchayat" also made its return this year with its third season on Amazon Prime Video, starring Jitendra Kumar in the lead role, and secured third place.

Zee5's sci-fi drama "Gyaarah Gyaarah" ranked fourth, while the spy thriller "Citadel: Honey Bunny," directed by Raj and DK, claimed the fifth spot. Netflix's comedy "Maamla Legal Hai" took sixth place.

In seventh place is "Taaza Khabar Season 2", followed by "Murder in Mahim" on Jio Cinema, which secured eighth. "Shekhar Home", starring Kay Kay Menon, came in ninth. Finally, Netflix's "The Great Indian Kapil Show" rounded out the top ten in tenth place.

Their list of the most popular Indian web series of 2024 was compiled based on web series released in India from January 1 to November 25, 2024, with an average IMDb user rating of 5 or above. The website explained, "These 10 titles were consistently the most popular among IMDb users, as measured by the page views of over 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide."
