‘Heeramandi’ teaser delves into the glittery world of courtesans
Netflix India released the teaser for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much anticipated web series "Heeramandi" on today. Netflix took to Instagram to share a small clip featuring the main characters. With this series, Sanjay Leela Bhansali makes his web series debut.
"Heeramandi" boasts of a star-studded cast of Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh. Through this series, Manisha Koirala is making a comeback after a long time.

The teaser shows all of the actresses dressed in off-white outfits, staring at the camera as the text "Sanjay Leela Bhansali invites you to the world where courtesans were queens" flashes on screen.
"Heeramandi" will tell the narrative of Lahore's courtesans and delve into the lesser-known facets of their lives. It will take place in pre-independent India.
Netflix also posted another short video giving a glimpse of the characters dressed in black royal outfits. The caption read, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grandeur combined with their awe-inspiring talent and elegance. Tell us a more iconic duo, we'll wait! #Heeramandi coming soon only on Netflix!"
"Heeramandi is an important milestone in my journey as a filmmaker. This is an epic, first-of-its-kind series based on the courtesans of Lahore. It is an ambitious, grand and all-encompassing series; therefore, I am nervous yet excited about making it. I am looking forward to my partnership with Netflix and bringing Heeramandi to audiences all over the world," said Bhansali in an interview.
