After gaining widespread acclaim for his film "12th Fail", many believed Vikrant Massey's career had no bounds. However, the actor's sudden decision to retire from showbiz has left fans questioning the reasons behind this unexpected move.

Known for his standout performances in projects like "Haseen Dillruba" and "Sector 36", Massey announced his retirement through an Instagram post without revealing the cause.

In his heartfelt message, he wrote, "The past few years and more have been incredible. I'm deeply thankful to each of you for your unwavering support. However, as I look ahead, I feel it's time to reset and return home—as a husband, father, and son, and also as an actor." Massey also mentioned that 2025 will mark his final year in the film industry.

Currently working on two films, "Yaar Jigri" and "Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan", the actor addressed his upcoming projects in his post: "In 2025, we will meet one final time—until the time feels right. Two final films and countless years of memories. Thank you once again for everything, and for all the moments in between." He concluded with, "Forever indebted."

The announcement stunned fans, with many expressing disbelief and concern in the comments section. One wrote, "Why would you do that? There are so few actors like you. We need quality cinema." Another commented, "So sudden? Is everything okay? This is so surprising for us. We truly enjoy your acting and films."

Others urged him to reconsider, with one remarking, "Bro, you're at your peak... why think this way?" Some even speculated whether the announcement might be a publicity stunt for an upcoming project or a brand campaign.

Another theory gaining traction is that Massey may be preparing for a career in politics. His recent film "The Sabarmati Report" has been well-received in political circles, even earning praise from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. One fan voiced concern, writing, "He's definitely heading into politics. It's a bad decision and way too soon for him. A year from now, he might be forgotten. He seems to be out of touch with reality."

Vikrant Massey has had an impressive journey in the entertainment industry, transitioning from television to the big screen and OTT platforms. He began his career with the TV show "Dhoom Machao Dhoom" and gained widespread recognition with "Balika Vadhu" in 2009. He made a significant impact with his performance in Konkona Sen Sharma's directorial debut, "A Death in the Gunj".

In recent years, Massey has demonstrated his versatility in critically acclaimed films such as "Chhapaak", "Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi", "Haseen Dillruba", and "Gaslight". He has also made a mark in popular web series like "Broken But Beautiful", "Criminal Justice", and "Mirzapur".
