'Jawan' becomes second highest grossing film worldwide
The top-grossing film across the world might be "The Nun II" now, with $62.7 million, but Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" has become the second highest-grossing film.
"The Equaliser 3," starring Denzel Washington is in the third spot with $23.6 million.
Since its release on September 7, "Jawan" earned $9.4 million in India and an additional $1.3 million from its dubbed versions of Tamil and Telugu.
"Jawan" is the third Bollywood film to cross the Rs 300 crore bar within five days. In India, it became the fourth highest-grossing film of 2023.
"Pathan" was first with $130 million, "Gadar 2" was second with $81 million and "Jailer", starring Rajinikanth, was third with $76.6 million.
The action flick "Jawan" has been directed by Atlee. It stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The film tells the story of a father and son fighting corruption within the Indian society.
